A selection of season highlights includes: Guest Artists - Featured artists include two world-renowned brass and wind quintets: Canadian Brass and Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet Fridays @ 12:30 Concert Series - resumes September 15 Opera at Western - Bizet's Carmen; Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance; and the Favourite Scenes spring gala in March. Ensemble Performances - including four choirs (Western University Singers, Les Choristes, St. Cecilia Singers and Chorale) plus the Western University Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Early Music Studio, Percussion Ensemble, Contemporary Music Studio, Dance, Chamber Music and new works by student composers. Faculty Concerts - the Faculty Concert Series returns, plus individual and chamber performances throughout the year Artists-in-Residence - Ensemble Made in Canada, Reverb Brass and Tafelmusik Parsons and Poole Legacy Concert and Masterclass - featuring Canadian pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin And more!
